The thermal baths of Merano
The thermal baths of Merano are a place of health along the southern bank of the Passirio River, the river flowing through the main city of the Burgraviato region. The thermal baths, inaugurated in 2005 are a meeting point for the city thanks to their location and to the new square.
The thermal baths of Merano are located in a modern cubic building, realised with glass and aluminium within a 50,000m² park with trees that are hundreds of years old, palms and rosebushes. The project was undertaken by Matteo Thun who chose the transparency of the structure, to create a certain relation between the internal and the external ambiences.
The thermal baths of Merano offer 25 pools and baths with salt water, with radon-containing water and a Kneipp course. Amongst the saunas there is a Finnish sauna, a steam room, a caldarium with inhalation of hydro minerals, a snow room and a biological sauna.
In the Spa & Vital area, furnished in a minimalistic style, you can try out various treatments, all of which use typical products from South Tyrol such as hay. Apples, whey, grapes, wool and chestnuts.
At the Thermal Baths of Merano the qualified personnel organise fitness courses consisting of aqua bikes, pilates and bodyfit.
