Marlengo
Marlengo is a delightful little village which is situated on a hill at 363 metres above sea level. From this inhabited centre which is only a half hour walk from Merano, you can enjoy a splendid view of the Adige Valley.
If you like culture and sacred buildings of artistic value, you can visit the old parish church, which was built in the 12th century, the new Parish Church of the Assumption realised in a neogothical style by the architect Anton Weber from Vienna, and the San Felice Church built close to a mineral water fountain.
In Marlengo, tourists can immerse themselves into the lives and traditions of the village, listening to the local music band which has been in existence for 150 years, admire the folk dancing and the Apple Crown of Marlengo, a cart that participates at the grape festival of Merano which is made from apples and carnations.
